On April 6th, 2018, Canada felt great sorrow, as 16 people, including team mates, were killed on their way to “just another hockey tournament.” The Humbolt Broncos hockey bus was hit by a semi truck at an intersection near Armley Saskatchewan. Although most didn’t know them personally, all of Canada took this tragedy quite personal. Putting hockey sticks outside our front doors, sending all our love and prayers, and raising money to help the survivors, family’s, hospitals, and first responders in any way we could.
On July 19th, I came together with the “Rotary Golf Club of High River” and the “High River Flyers Hockey Club” to raise money for the Nipawan First responders. After a raffle for a Broncos jersey, I raised $1600!
